Lifeline Peer Project, Region 6 South
I am a native of Jackson Tennessee and have worked in the field of accounting for 30 years. I am a person in long term recovery that was given the opportunity to work as a peer advocate for the Lifeline Peer Project in September, 2017. Since then I have been trained as a Regional Overdose Prevention Specialist and I am also a Recovery Navigator. All these wonderful programs are offered as a result of state funding through the Jackson Madison Prevention Coalition. I have also been given the privilege of becoming a state trainer for the Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) program as well as a Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) I Facilitator and TSPN Suicide Awareness & Prevention (QPR) Trainer. What a gift it has been to work with people that are devoted to helping others find a new and better way to live. This work along with spending time with my 6 beautiful granddaughters is and will always be the highlight of my life.
